We know lots of things that work in the classroom, but the biggest challenge is knowing what works best! So we take theory and policy, and translate it into effective, transferable and practical classroom strategies and guidance for schools.
Enthuse funded courses in partnership with STEM learning have been running in Northern Ireland since 2006. All courses follow an action research model of CPD. This involves time out of school for training and action planning, then a gap task back in school to try out some of the techniques, followed by a second training period to share practice with colleagues and reflection. In this way the training has maximum impact on teachers, pupils and colleagues back in school, and best of all these courses come with a generous Enthuse bursary to support attendance!

STEM Insight offers a unique opportunity for post-primary STEM teachers, technicians and careers teachers, to experience life in a cutting-edge industry or university. They will learn about the wide range of careers and roles open to students, and the vocational and academic STEM routes available. STEM Insight placements are supported by an Enthuse bursary.
We offer a range of different programmes dedicated to raising young people’s engagement and achievement in STEM subjects and careers.
