View Our FAQsSTEM Industry offers a unique opportunity for post-primary STEM teachers, technicians and careers teachers, to experience life in a cutting-edge industry or university. They will learn about the wide range of careers and roles open to students, and the vocational and academic STEM routes available. There is financial support for some placements from the Biochemical Society and also from Enthuse.
We work with groups of 4-8 schools and colleges to develop a bespoke two-year action plan. Partnerships receive up to £20,000 worth of support, which includes access to CPD, resources, teacher placements, STEM Ambassadors and enrichment activities.
Funding becomes available at different times and in different subject areas. Sometimes schools are selected according to set criteria. If you would like to register your interest in becoming an ENTHUSE Partnership in the future, please complete the short expression of interest form and then we can contact you once the opportunity arises.
The STEM Ambassador Programme aims to connect young people with volunteers from a variety of STEM backgrounds, helping them to get excited about STEM subjects & to recognise the links between the school curriculum & possible future career pathways. Volunteers from business, industry & academia, can sign up as STEM Ambassadors to share their expertise & experience with young people, encouraging them to consider whether STEM could be for them.
