Physics for Non-Specialists (NN224)

This course is designed to help non-specialists who are teaching physics to increase confidence in their own physics subject knowledge, as well as providing a range of ideas for how to teach topics with pupils. The course will unpick key concepts and provide teaching approaches linked to a range of fundamental physics ideas.


Teachers will cover the following key areas

  • Forces – including Newton’s Laws of Motion
  • Energy – including thermal properties
  • Electricity – including current, voltage and resistance
  • Waves – including light and sound

Anyone wishing further support can discuss arranging drop-in clinics with the host who will happy to facilitate these.
